I’m happy and grateful to share that I’ve been renewed as a Microsoft MVP for the 6th consecutive year, in the M365 category, with technology areas in M365 Development and M365 Copilot Extensibility.
The Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Award recognizes individuals who go beyond their day job to share technical expertise with the community – through speaking, writing, mentoring, and open-source work. It’s awarded annually and requires renewal each year based on the past twelve months of contribution, not past reputation.
Six years is a good moment to pause and look back. When I first became an MVP in the Office Development category, the ecosystem looked very different: SharePoint Framework was still finding its footing, Power Platform was just beginning to reshape how organizations built apps, and “Copilot” wasn’t even a word in our vocabulary yet.
Today, I spend most of my time helping organizations design and build agentic AI solutions on top of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot Studio, and the Agent Framework – a shift that says a lot about how fast this ecosystem moves, and why staying curious matters more than ever.
What this renewal represents
The MVP Award isn’t given for a single project or a single year of work – it’s a recognition of consistent, sustained contribution to the community. A few examples of what that’s looked like for me:
- Speaking at community events globally, sharing practical, tech-focused content instead of theory.
- Contributing to the open-source community, including pull requests in various Microsoft and non-Microsoft GitHub projects.
- Building and demoing real solutions – from SPFx components to Copilot Studio or custom engine agents – that show what’s actually possible today, not just what’s on a roadmap.
- Bridging the gap between client delivery and technical evangelism: exploring Microsoft Foundry, the Agent Framework, and Agent 365/MCP governance, then turning those same lessons into conference sessions.
Why M365 Copilot Extensibility, specifically
This year’s renewal reflects where my focus has genuinely shifted: extending Microsoft 365 Copilot with custom agents, integrating the Copilot canvas with line-of-business scenarios, and exploring what’s possible with the Microsoft Agent Framework and Agents SDK. It’s a space that’s evolving weekly, and being an MVP gives me a front-row seat – and a responsibility to translate what I see into content that’s useful for the community, not just impressive in a demo.
